Increase The Peace 1-2-1 Mentoring Service
At Increase the Peace we offer bespoke mentoring to young people who are facing social, behavioural or emotional issues, and could benefit from expert support and guidance from one of our experienced mentors.
A lack of confidence, peer pressure, family difficulties, emotional dysregulation, anti-social behaviours, isolation, lack of positive support or adverse childhood experiences can all lead to young people
Our objective is to give all of the young people we work with the opportunity to discover and recognise their own strengths and qualities, to grow in confidence and to overcome difficulties. Our aim is to help them identify goals and empower them to make positive choices that will help shape a positive future for them.
IMPACT – Knife Crime Workshops
The
With knife crime on the rise throughout the UK, and with young people significantly affected and impacted by knife crime, it is imperative that we offer helpful, useful and educational resources and tools to help support young people and deliver an “anti-knife crime” message.
IMPACT enables young people to get involved whilst learning, ensuring it is both enjoyable and beneficial. Suitable for schools, colleges, training organisations, pupil referral units, scouting groups, sports clubs and other youth organisations, it really does make a positive impact! Outreach Support Within The Community
Here at Increase The Peace it is important to us that all of the young people within our community know who we are, what we can do and how we can support them.
Our experienced youth workers interact with young people who may be on the streets, in parks or even in the town centres. By talking to the young people we look to establish positive relationships with them, which will hopefully result in them making the right choices … not the wrong ones!
With many of these young
With gangs, knife crime, alcohol, drugs and other types of petty crime on the up, it is important that Increase The Peace interact with these young people, encouraging and supporting them in make positive life choices.
As part of the outreach programme we have our Peace Pedalers who ride around the community on pushbikes interacting with young people, and we also organise events and
