Increase The Peace – Our Services

At Increase the Peace we offer three primary services aimed at young people between the ages of 7 and 25.

Through these different means of contact with the young people we aim to get them to realise their potential, learn to make positive choices and to raise their awareness to the dangers of knife crime and violence on the streets.

We understand that every young persons circumstances and requirements are different, and by using our experience and qualified youth workers we can adapt our approach and create tailored support  to meet their individual requirements.

If you are interested in any of the services Increase The Peace offer please contact us.

Increase The Peace 1-2-1 Mentoring Service

At Increase the Peace we offer bespoke mentoring to young people who are facing social, behavioural or emotional issues, and could benefit from expert support and guidance from one of our experienced mentors.

A lack of confidence, peer pressure, family difficulties, emotional dysregulation, anti-social behaviours, isolation, lack of positive support or adverse childhood experiences can all lead to young people needing, and benefiting, from extra support. Our mentors can offer emotional support, guidance and a sense of stability, as well as being a positive role model for that young person.

Our objective is to give all of the young people we work with the opportunity to discover and recognise their own strengths and qualities, to grow in confidence and to overcome difficulties. Our aim is to help them identify goals and empower them to make positive choices that will help shape a positive future for them.

IMPACT – Knife Crime Workshops

The IMPACT knife crime workshops are a socio-educational programme offering young people the opportunity to be part of an informative and interactive workshop. The aim is to raise awareness and educate young people about the dangers, risks and consequences of knife crime, and to encourage young people to make positive choices and decisions. The workshops also focus on anti-social behaviour and gangs.

With knife crime on the rise throughout the UK, and with young people significantly affected and impacted by knife crime, it is imperative that we offer helpful, useful and educational resources and tools to help support young people and deliver an “anti-knife crime” message.

IMPACT enables young people to get involved whilst learning, ensuring it is both enjoyable and beneficial. Suitable for schools, colleges, training organisations, pupil referral units, scouting groups, sports clubs and other youth organisations, it really does make a positive impact! We can also offer bespoke workshops to suit the needs of the young people.

Outreach Support Within The Community

Here at Increase The Peace it is important to us that all of the young people within our community know who we are, what we can do and how we can support them.

Our experienced youth workers interact with young people who may be on the streets, in parks or even in the town centres. By talking to the young people we look to establish positive relationships with them, which will hopefully result in them making the right choices … not the wrong ones!

With many of these young people we take a ‘prevention rather than cure’ approach to their situation, looking to offer them support and advice prior to them making any wrong decisions that may affect their futures.

With gangs, knife crime, alcohol, drugs and other types of petty crime on the up, it is important that Increase The Peace interact with these young people, encouraging and supporting them in make positive life choices.

As part of the outreach programme we have our Peace Pedalers who ride around the community on pushbikes interacting with young people, and we also organise events and fundays where the young people can attend and get involved with all of the activities on offer whilst interacting with our team.

If you would like more information about our outreach support services please contact us here at Increase The Peace.
